Lachman's Test, Anterior

Orthopedic Test Lachman's Test, Anterior
Method The subject lies supine with the test knee flexed 20-30 degrees. From a neutral position, the examiner applies an anterior force to the tibia with the distal hand while stabilizing the femur with the proximal hand. Excessive anterior translation of the tibia with a diminished or absent endpoint is indicative of a partial or complete tear of the ACL.
